01Choose how to request deletion
Fastest
From inside the app
- Open Lokalio and go to Profile → Account Details → Delete Account.
- Tell us why you're leaving (optional) and continue.
- Confirm on the "This can't be undone" prompt — no separate code, since you're already signed in.
- Your account enters a 48-hour grace period. Signing back in during that window cancels the deletion.
- After 48 hours, your account and its data are permanently deleted — see Section 02.
No app needed
By email
- Email support@lokalio.com from the same address your Lokalio account uses.
- Use the subject line "Delete my account" and confirm you want your account and data deleted.
- Our support team verifies you're the account holder.
- We complete the deletion described in Section 02 — see Section 04 for how long that takes.
Both paths result in the exact same outcome. Use the in-app option if you can — it's verified automatically and finishes faster. Use email if you've uninstalled the app, lost access to it, or would rather not sign back in.
02What gets deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes:
- Your profile — name, email, phone, address, salutation and country.
- Your shop, if you're a shop owner — shop details, logo, business licence image, opening hours, and every offer you published.
- Your favourites and the shops you follow.
- Your loyalty points balance and history, and your coupons.
- Your shop's subscription history, if applicable.
Your Lokalio sign-in itself is removed too, so the email address becomes available again if you ever want to create a new account.
03What's kept, and why
A small amount of information is deliberately not deleted, so it doesn't corrupt someone else's legitimate record:
- Other customers' records stay intact. If you ever credited or redeemed points as shop staff for a different customer, their own points/coupon history keeps that entry — we just remove the link identifying you as the staff member who handled it, rather than deleting their record.
- Aggregate counts aren't personal data. Things like an offer's total view count stay as a number; they were never tied to your identity in a retrievable way.
- Legally required records. Where the law requires us to retain certain records for longer (for example, financial records tied to a shop subscription, for accounting purposes), we keep only what's required, only as long as required.
Everything else in Section 02 is gone, not just hidden.
04How long it takes
In-app requests: the 48-hour grace period is the only wait — deletion happens automatically right after it ends.
Email requests: we aim to verify and complete these within 30 days of receiving your message.
